AK To Be Highlighted in Specialty Crop Tour

This SARE attract-and-kill project will be highlighted on the Specialty Crop Tour as part of a visit by the Young Growers Alliance. Participants will tour the facilities at the Appalachian Fruit Research Station (http://www.ars.usda.gov/main/site_main.htm?modecode=80-80-05-05) in Kearneysville, WV on June 7th from 11:30am-4:30pm. We'll be discussing the concept of attract-and-kill, and how we can use it to fight the invasive brown marmorated stink bug to successfully protect apple production in the mid-Atlantic US. In addition, the state of the art in fruit research will discussed by a large variety of scientists at the station. This is a free event, but pre-registration is required, which is due by June 6th. We look forward to seeing you out here! For more information, and to register, visit: http://extension.psu.edu/plants/tree-fruit/events/specialty-crop-tour-for-young-growers20160607
